Thanks to the Beatitones - Tim Fried, John Olson, Karl Rosenquist, Elaine Shelby, Chris Shorter and Dave Tidball - for contributing their musical leadership to our worship service this morning.

Try one of these cool summer beverages with Equal Exchange coffee or tea!  The following and many other recipes may be found at

Chocolate-Chai Smoothie – Brew 3 bags of chai tea in ½ cup water.  Blend together the brewed tea, 3 Tbsp hot cocoa, 1 cup milk and 1 cup vanilla ice cream until frothy.

Spiced Coffee Cooler – Combine 4 cups of double-strength coffee with 2 cinnamon sticks, 4 whole cloves, and 3 whole allspice.  Steep for 30 minutes, strain and pour over ice.  Add cream, milk, and/or sugar to taste.

Tea-licious Latte – Brew tea using 3 teabags instead of 1 in a mug.  Add sugar or honey if desired.  Heat and stir 1 cup whole milk on stovetop until foam develops; make sure not to boil.  Pour tea into a large cup.  Pour milk into a French Press and carefully pump up and down to froth the milk.  Pour frothed milk into the large cup with the tea, stir a bit, and top with a dollop of foam.

Holden Evening Prayer: Our new Wednesday evening services have been meeting! "It felt 'centering' to experience the music and rewarding to participate in the discussion", says Jennie Leete-Hunt. The worship experience lasts approximately 45 minutes followed by friendly conversation and a snack. We have added a new element of a camp fire to our Wednesday evening worship experience which was enjoyed by everyone there. A short fellowship time follows our wonderful worship time together. "It's just what I need after a long day of work," says Becky Walpole.
