Thank you to all who contributed to the furnace fund. We collected $2,340 for the new Education Wing furnace!

Like to sew?  Reconciling Ministries is sponsoring a stole making project. The stoles are being made for delegates to the 2016 United Methodist Church General Conference who are sympathetic to the full inclusion of the LGBTQ community in the life of the church. The hope is that many delegates wearing these stoles will make a strong, yet beautiful visual statement of support. Elaine Shelby is coordinating workers at Peace Church to make some of these stoles. She has material and a couple of sample stoles. Elaine has scheduled an initial date for sewers to meet to work on these stoles for Saturday, November 7, at 10 am in the meditation room just down the hall from the church office. Contact Elaine at elshelby@gmail.com to let her know you plan to attend, or to let her know that you are interested in helping even if you can't participate on that date.

Incarnation Lutheran Church Youth and Family Ministries will present a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on Thursday, November 19th at 7 pm in Incarnation Hall at Incarnation Lutheran Church. Tickets are $5 in advance, $8 at the door and children under five are free. Those who participated in previous Peace Church productions of this musical may recognize some of the staging, props and costumes. They have been donated to Incarnation Lutheran for their use in this production.

COSROW has donated the book When God was a Little Girl to the church for anyone who wishes to read or use it.  The book can be found in the bookshelf in the Education Wing of the church.

Equal Exchange:  Here’s a quick recipe using Equal Exchange hot cocoa:  Peppermint Hot Cocoa

4 c. water

5 bags peppermint tea

1 c. Equal Exchange Hot Cocoa

1/2 c. half and half

Bring water to a near boil.  Steep the 5 bags of peppermint tea in the water for 4-5 minutes, then remove.  Add the hot cocoa and half and half, turn heat on low and stir until fully dissolved and heated.  Serve with an optional mint garnish and enjoy!  Serves 4.
