Peace is Every Breath:

The Training and Practice of Mindfulness

 In the rush of life, we tend to lose touch with the peace that is available in each moment. Peace in Every Breath teaches the basic practices of sitting and walking meditation that are the foundation of breathing and walking a life that can brings peace. If you take time for anything for yourself to nourish you soul, this is it!

Come and learn the simple meditation practice in the tradition of Zen Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh within the perspective of the Christ faith.

Who:   Anyone from 14 to 114

When: Sunday Mornings 8:30-9:30 am or Monday Evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 pm

Sundays February 2, 9, 16 and 23

Mondays: February 3, 10, 17, and 24

Where: Peace United Methodist Church

The Sunday and Monday sessions each week will be the same so you can come either day. Attending all the sessions is always wonderful, but if you want to participate and will miss one or two don’t let that stop you. Once you have finished the sessions you are invited to join our meditation Sangha that meets Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.

 Session One:  The Power of Breathing and the importance of training:  Foundations for Mindfulness Practice

Session Two:  Breathing Peace: Sitting Meditation

Session Three:  Touching Peace: Walking Meditation

Session Four:  Engaging Peace: Practicing Meditation
